My Journey

My Journey as a massage therapist began over two years ago; although I feel I have been called to this profession for much longer. Since I was a young girl giving massages to family members when they complained of aches and pains I have wanted to care for others.

Since graduating from Clary Sage College in 2023 I have pursued the furtherance of the foundational education that began there; obtaining certifications and over 100 hours in training in prenatal, postpartum, infant, lymphatic drainage, and medical massage from the American Massage Therapy Association as well as myofascial release, stretching, cupping, and instrument assisted soft tissue tissue mobilization techniques from the Spinal Manipulation Institute.

My approach to engagement with massage therapy draws from the many modalities of both eastern and western origin that I have been immersed in throughout my studies. The core of my philosophy is influenced heavily by shiatsu, tai chi, lomi lomi, and myofasical techniques that engage not only with the whole body, but mind as well.

In my practice I rely heavily on open and honest communication with my client about the goals they hope to achieve through bodywork and where they find themselves currently. I strive to create a judgement free environment that meets the client where they are now and assists them compassionately along the journey to where they hope to arrive.

My Expertise

Along with tools (cupping, scraping, clay heat packs, herbal oils and creams, vibrational therapy) I incorporate into highly individualized sessions I have cultivated a method I like to refer to as “intuitive engagement”.

Intuitive engagement relies on at its core a relationship of trust, honesty, and vulnerability between myself, your massage therapist, and you, my client. Through conversation, palpation, physical engagement, the incorporation of tools and application of various modalities, and mutual input we develop a relational understanding of your individual body and its unique needs.

I will often tell clients that no two sessions will be the same as my work is a response to your body’s specific needs; so many times I hear people surprised to discover that while they were distracted by a more pressing chronic pain issue they didn’t even realize another part of their body was neglected and in pain.

In the course of a session I may implement the use of a variety of tools (or none at all), additional positions, various bolstering configurations, stretching, breath-work, or an array of other techniques I have learned and studied to best assist you on your whole body health journey.

My Goal: Intuitive engagement

This dynamic is what I strive for and have been so fortunate to practice in a space I have designed mindfully to put you at ease and in a state of not only relaxation but also safety to let down your walls then engage with and listen to your body undistracted, and warmly.

I have seen this dynamic produce amazing results for so many of my clients. This dynamic is what has made it possible for me to pursue and achieve the ability to have my own practice here at Mustard Seed.

This dynamic is what I hope to cultivate with you. So please believe me when I say I am, truly, so happy you have found yourself here.
